Meet David Holmes, an integral member of the mortgage team at Oak Leaf Community Mortgage, powered by North Shore Trust and Savings. David, a Sr Loan Originator since joining Oak Leaf Community Mortgage in March 2018 has a career spanning back to June 1992. David brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role, helping countless clients navigate the path to securing their new homes.

A proud graduate of Lockport High School in Illinois, David has not only built a solid foundation in the financial industry but has also earned notable recognition for his outstanding service. He’s been honored as the best in his field by the Herald News Best of Will County for 6 consecutive years, a testament to his expertise and commitment to excellence.

On a day-to-day basis, David plays a pivotal role in supporting customers by providing expert guidance and support throughout the loan origination process. His passion for helping clients achieve their dream of homeownership is evident in every interaction, making him a trusted advisor and friend to many. David’s love for his career is rooted in the joy of meeting new people and the satisfaction of helping them secure their futures.

David’s dedication extends beyond his professional life. He has been actively involved in his community, contributing 14 impactful years on the Channahon Baseball Board and coaching his sons throughout their sporting endeavors. His commitment to making a difference is further demonstrated through his organization of a charity golf outing in memory of a coworker and mentor. Over 20 years, this event attracted an average of 120 golfers annually and raised a grand total of $500,000 for local charities.

Away from work, David cherishes time spent with his family, friends, and his black lab, Addie. An avid golfer and enthusiastic tailgater at MIZ-ZOU games, he knows how to host a gathering, claiming the ability to feed 100 people on any given Sunday. Summers are spent enjoying the great outdoors at a permanent campground, surrounded by loved ones.
